RUBY SALES ON THE ROAD FOR SPIRITHOUSE

Goshen College's Academy for Peace Educators: Ruby Sales, Civil Rights Veteran and Director of Spirit House, spoke at the Goshen College's Academy for Peace Educators. The theme of the Academy was "Transforming a Violent World: Sharing Resources, Tools and Visions."

York, Pennsylvania NAACP: At the NAACP's annual gathering Ruby Sales facilitated all-day exercises on community formation. She was also banquet speaker. Her topic was "We aren't what we want to be; if we are not careful we will be where we were."

Servant Leadership School: Calling Up Our Capacity for Justice: Ruby Sales was the guest speaker as part of the Servant Leadership School's forum series on "The Things That Make for Peace."

Amnesty International: Ruby Sales spoke out against the death penalty at Amnesty International's Faith in Action weekend.

Black Voices for Peace: Ruby Sales was a rally speaker against Israel's war with Palestine called by Black Voices for Peace.

Center for Constitutional Rights: Ruby Sales represented SpiritHouse as a panelist and respondent at a press conference called by Center for Constitutional Rights to address the USA Patriot Act.

Wesley Seminary: Ruby Sales represented the SpiritHouse Project on a panel entitled "Reclaiming the Missing Jesus."

Black Voices for Peace: Ruby Sales represented SpiritHouse on WPFW Radio, discussing issues of spirituality and justice, and the U.S. government's Homeland Security Proposal.

Mennonites: Ruby Sales co-facilitated a nonviolence formation entitled, "On the Road to Damascus" for sixty individuals training with the Mennonites. This training is available to grassroots communities, congregations, seminaries, schools and seminaries.

Faith and Politics: Ruby Sales participated in Faith and Politics Institute's 5th Congressional Pilgrimage to Alabama.

Pendle Hill: Ruby Sales was workshop leader at Pendle Hill's Conference, "Racial Justice as Economic justice".

Call to Peacemakers' Annual Conference: Ruby Sales was a plenary speaker. She spoke on "Breaking with a Culture of Violence and Building up a New Nonviolent and Just Society."
