The SpiritHouse Project's work is critical and essential to communities everywhere. As a matter of fact, for many individuals and communities, it is a rock in a weary land. Our staff, volunteers and programs offer hopeful alternatives to domestic and foreign policies that promote death, destruction, dehumanization, poverty and oppression. Our words resonate on deep levels everywhere. Countless people tell us that we touch a deep place in them that moves them from numbness and despair to hopefulness and action

As I have spent this week reflecting on my Word and World experience, I am extremely grateful for the gifts you gave to me in class. I think that through your strength and love you allowed me to see and experience issues of relationships in new ways. This experience is the highlight of my time at Word and World.
